Frogspawn!!!

I finally finished our small pond last summer. I knew that a couple of frogs had made it home and I kept my fingers crossed for some frogspawn this spring.

And lookie what I discovered the other day -

I shall keep monitoring their progress and hope some will survive to become tadpoles and then teeny little frogs. We don't have fish to eat them because it's a wildlife pond but there are several large water snails, though I don't know what they eat.

From Straight to Curvy...

I decided that this path was too straight -

It has now become this (though bare in mind it is still a work in progress and needs plants, a mirror on the fence at the end of that quirky piece of grass path that goes nowhere, and all the log roll bordering needs to be banged in a couple more inches) -

Though I'm going to fit a tall mirror at the end of the path (above) to give an illusion of the path continuing, when I look at it from a distance, it kinda screams out for a cute Hobbit door!!!

Yay!!!

The first day of spring!!!!

Eclipse was disappointing though, mainly because it was so cloudy.

New Additions to the Family...

Only 45cm long and 21cm high, but adorable and very well detailed -

It's not my photo, I got it from the seller's shop, but I will take my own pics soon.

Almost put my back out trying to move them though. They are small but heavy. But hubby has now moved them into location.

Spring has Sprung!!!

The weather is quite lovely at the moment. Mild, sunny and dry. Not sure how long it's going to last, it's still winter after all, but it certainly feels as if spring has sprung!

A couple of photos taken in the garden yesterday -

March Garden

Because I wanted to take some photos of the new trellis anyway, I thought I'd take some general pics of the garden so that I can compare growth in a few month's time.

I'm almost, but not quite finished though. I have some white trellis on order that I want to put on the fence behind the fruit trees -

I have also ordered a couple of faux stone urns (a lot cheaper than real stone!) -

I spent recent birthday money on lots of plants. Three climbing roses for the main trellis (white, red, and purple), a couple of hydrangeas (lilac and red), and some clematis. I still want to buy a few more climbers (jasmine and honeysuckle).

Anyhoo...on to the garden pics (though bare in mind that it is winter and there isn't much growth/colour at the moment)  -

Now I just want everything to hurry up and grow, grow, grow!!!! :)
